Great Enterprises

¨Small opportunities are often the beginning of great enterprises.¨ Demosthenes

This has so many applications in life. Paul indicated that the areas we emphasize are the ones that will be strongest in our lives. What we do today decides what we live tomorrow. Applications are positive and negative, spiritual and natural.

The small opportunities given to desires, lusts and pride are the beginning of succumbing to the weaknesses and sins that so easily bring us down. In the same way, small decisions of honesty, uprightness and intimacy with God are the beginning of great victories and acts of faith in our lives.

LORD, that my small opportunities lead me to great successes, in your kingdom.

Romans 8; Hebrews 12:1, 11:25
